Honoring the outstanding players at the ASEAN Friendship Tournament 2026
On April 12, 2026, as part of the Lao – Cambodia – Thai Traditional Tet Festival held at Phu Nhuan High School, the ASEAN Friendship QiClash Tournament 2026 officially concluded with many memorable milestones.
After 35 matches across 4 rounds, with the participation of 16 contestants (including 5 Cambodian students, 10 Lao students, and 1 Vietnamese student), the tournament has identified the 4 most outstanding players:
First Prize: Sisavath Louangphasavanh
(Lao Student, Nguyen Tat Thanh University)
Second Prize: Sisavath Ekalak
(Lao Student, Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University)
Third Prize: Kongmanila Panaysup
(Lao student, Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University)
Fourth Prize: Phommady Saimany
(Lao Student, University of Economics - Finance)
The tournament was successfully concluded in a vibrant and fair atmosphere, deeply imbued with a spirit of cultural exchange and learning. It was not merely an intellectual playground but also a cultural bridge, contributing to strengthening the bonds between students within the ASEAN community through a Vietnamese chess game with its own unique identity.
On this occasion, QiClash would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Organizing Committee, including HUFO (Union of Friendship Organizations in Ho Chi Minh City) and VAFA (Vietnam - Southeast Asia Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City), for organizing such a meaningful traditional Tet festival for Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, while providing the opportunity for QiClash to accompany and contribute to this collective activity.
We would like to thank the Board of Directors of the Laos-Cambodia Dormitory for providing the opportunity for QiClash to provide guidance and practice sessions with the Lao and Cambodian students.
Special thanks to Phu Nhuan High School for providing the venue and for their companionship and support throughout the tournament.
Wishing the students from Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand a warm traditional Tet festival filled with joy, health, and abundant luck.
See you again in upcoming events!
