With the central theme of “The Social in the Digital,” this year's forum gathered leading scientists and experts to discuss the transformation of society under the impact of technology. In that context, we were honored to present our research topic: “Digital Applications In Cultural Innovation And Promotion: The ‘Twelve Zodiac Animals Chess’ As A Case Study.”

During the discussion session, our presentation delved into how to apply science and technology to actively preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural heritage. Through the practical lens of QiClash, we provided an insight into a young startup striving to act as a bridge—flexibly transforming to integrate with modern digital trends while remaining steadfast in its mission to preserve core cultural values.

Particularly, in the concluding section of the report, the co-founder of QiClash shared an inspiring perspective: “Vietnam was formed from a wet rice civilization, a civilization living in close harmony with nature. This is so deeply ingrained that the 12 zodiac animals have become an integral part of how we perceive time, personality, and life. However, for today's younger generation, the 12 zodiac animals largely exist only as a cultural concept. QiClash is an effort to bring those symbols back into daily life, making them more relatable, tangible, and accessible to the new generation.” Driven by this spark of pride and the insights derived from the research, the report also proposed several strategic development directions for young startups venturing into the cultural sector.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Organizing Committee of the ISSH 2026 Conference, Ton Duc Thang University, and all international partners for creating an excellent academic space, allowing QiClash to share its voice with scholars and friends from around the world.
